Manchester United may have already spent £32m this summer but that will not prevent them from continuing their shopping spree.
The Red Devils wasted no time when the transfer window reopened in securing the signature of teenager Phil Jones - the Blackburn Rovers defender that has received interest from all of England's top clubs. They followed that up last week with the capture of Ashley Young from Aston Villa for £15m and now they are looking to add further to their attacking options.
News of the World are reporting that United will make a cheeky £20m bid for Arsenal's Samir Nasri. The France international is stalling on signing a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and the Premier League champions are hoping to exploit the fact that he only has a year left on his current deal to force the Gunners to sell. Manager Arsene Wenger has publicly stated that he will not sell to their rivals but Nasri has openly welcomed United's interest and could force the move through.
Less controversial is CaughtOffside's story on their pursuit of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguay hitman had a phenomenal season in Serie A as he ended the season as the league'scapocannoniere - top goalscorer. His 26 goals were a key factor in his teams third place finish and automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Sir Alex Ferguson already has Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez at his disposal while Michael Owen has been handed a new one-year deal but Cavani would add a greater aerial threat. With Dimitar Berbatov almost certainly on his way out of Old Trafford, United will test Napoli's resolve with a £25m bid.
