Dimitar Berbatov has revealed he wants to stay at Manchester United but the club have yet to initiate talks about a new contract.
The Bulgarian striker was famously snubbed by boss Sir Alex Ferguson for the Champions League final in May, sparking rumours that he could quit United this summer.
Berbatov has since stated his desire to stay at Old Trafford but he only has one year left to run on his contract - and nobody from United has been in touch to talk to about the possibility of extending it.
“There is no news because we have not heard anything from anyone,” agent Emil Dantchev told Goal.com.
“After we speak to Manchester United, we will know more but now he is very happy to be a Manchester United player.
“Many clubs would be interested in Dimitar but he wants to stay in Manchester and win more trophies.
"He has a contract and he is not paying attention to the British media."
